MOORESVILLE, NC — Members of Mooresville Fire and Rescue received a commendation after using CPR to save a life last month, it said Tuesday.

“Members of Engine 4 C-shift and Squad 1 were recognized with a Life Save Commendation for their performance during a CPR in-progress call on August 20, 2019,” Mooresville Fire & Rescue said on its Facebook page.

The group of rescuers — identified as Captain Mark Shifflet, Engineer Justin Sigmon, Senior Firefighter Jeremy Gilbert, Senior Firefighter Eddie Clingenpeel, Captain Cam Ramey and Deputy Chief Shane LaCount — used CPR on the scene and revived the patient.

“The patient is currently back at work,” Mooresville Fire & Rescue said.
