MOORESVILLE, NC — A 21-year-old Mooresville man was charged with 10 counts of felony third degree sexual exploitation of a minor following a tip that he was in possession of child pornography, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.

According to Sheriff Darren Campbell, authorities received a tip last month from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children that Cody Allen Wright, 21, of 185 Little Creek Road in Mooresville was possibly in possession of the materials.

The information was passed on to a sheriff's office detective in the Special Victim's Unit, who verified the information and interviewed witnesses, then obtained several search warrants. "After receiving, and executing the search warrants additional evidence was obtained," ICSO said.
