Mooresville Man Arrested, Faces Numerous Drug Charges: MPD

MOORESVILLE, NC — A 37-year-old man has been arrested and now faces a list of drug charges after police executed a search warrant at a Mooresville Home, the Mooresville Police Department said.

According to MPD, an April 2 search of a home located at 1334 Mecklenburg Highway was conducted by detectives from MPD's narcotics unit and a detective from the Troutman Police Department.

Following the search, Keita Ford, 37 and of Mooresville, was taken into custody and charged with possession of heroin; possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine; and maintain a vehicle/dwelling/place for keeping and selling controlled substances — all felonies.

He was also charged with numerous misdemeanor drug charges, including possession of marijuana; possession of marijuana paraphernalia; and possession of drug paraphernalia other than for marijuana.

Additional charges are pending, according to authorities.

Ford was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. His secured bond was set a $25,000.
