Mooresville Man Arrested For Multiple Sex Assaults

Robert Mark Moose was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting two victims, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.

MOORESVILLE, NC β€” A Mooresville man stands accused of sexually assaulting two victims, one of whom was a family member, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

The Sheriff’s office has charged Robert Mark Moose of 126 Moore Farm Lane in Mooresville with a dozen counts of felony indecent liberties with a child, 10 counts of felony statutory rape of a child and two counts of felony statutory rape/sexual offense with a child.

The charges stem from the department’s investigation touched off by a complaint filed Dec. 30 that Moose sexually assaulted a female family member multiple times between August 2017 and December 2017.

During the course of the investigation, Iredell County detective Patrick Dixson uncovered an additional victim, who reported she had been sexually assaulted by the accused multiple times between November 2001 and February 2005.

Following his arrest, Moose was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. His bond has been set at $1.5 million.
