Mooresville Man Charged With Felony Assault Of Mother

According to a sheriff's report, Raymond Bois Grimes is accused of grabbing his mother and throwing her into a wall.

MOORESVILLE, NC — A Mooresville man was arrested this week, and charged by Iredell County Sheriff’s Office with felony assault on an elderly person after an incident where he allegedly assaulted his 83-year-old mother.

The Jan. 19 incident occurred at a residence in the 100 block of Pier 33 in Mooresville, according to an ICSO report.

The woman told an Iredell County sheriff deputy that her son, who is her caretaker, had assaulted her in the home they share during an argument, “when he grabbed her by the arms and threw her into a wall inside the home, causing her to fall and hit her head on both the wall and a table resulting in injury,” the report said.
