Mooresville Memorial Day Shooting: Victims Followed Ambulance
Police are investigating after gunshot victims followed an ambulance responding to a call for an unrelated incident at the movie theater.
MOORESVILLE, NC — Mooresville Police are investigating a Memorial Day shooting incident after gunshot victims followed an ambulance to responding to an unrelated medical call at Amstar Theaters.
According to a statement made by MPD, two men living at 26 Selma Drive were visited by two other men May 27.
“Shots were fired at visiting males,” MPD said. The victims then followed an ambulance responding to a call to Amstar Theaters instead of driving themselves to the hospital, police said.

The home is about four miles away from the movie theater, which is located at 206 Norman Station Boulevard.
“There was no shooting or active shooter incident at Amstar Theaters,” MPD said.

Two victims were transported to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. One of the victims was listed as having a gunshot wound and the other had an unconfirmed injury. A third victim was transported to a hospital in Charlotte with gunshot wounds, MPD said.
