Mooresville Police Department Swears In Two New Officers

Officers Eric Scronce and Tom Callison were sworn in at a Mooresville Town Board meeting earlier this week.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Mooresville Police Department has two new members. Officers Eric Scronce and Tom Callison were sworn in at a Nov. 4 Mooresville Town Board meeting earlier this week.

“Officer Scronce served in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman, which included a tour of duty overseas in Afghanistan,” MPD said in an announcement following the Nov. 4 swearing in.

“After being honorably discharged, he studied Criminal Justice and then enrolled in Basic Law Enforcement Training,” and prior to joining MPD, was an officer with the United Special Police, MPD said.

“Officer Callison realized his love for law enforcement while participating in the Police Explorers program, and began his law enforcement career in 2003 in Ohio where he served as a Deputy Sheriff,” MPD said. “More recently, he served as a patrol officer and a motorcycle officer in the Homeland Security Division, and he is also an active member of the Army National Guard since 2007.”
