Mooresville Police Dogs To Receive Body Armor Donation
Hansel and Valor, two members of Mooresville Police Department's K9 team, will soon have protective vests.
MOORESVILLE, NC — Two of Mooresville’s finest will soon have new protective gear thanks to a recent donation to the police department. Hansel and Valor, two members of Mooresville Police Department’s K9 team, will receive protective vests provided by the nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.
The charity provides bullet and stab protective vests to police dogs. “Each protective vest donation for a law enforcement K9 is $950, and the vests have a five-year warranty,” MPD said in a statement Tuesday.
The vests will be personalized and are expected to arrive within the next 10 weeks, MPD said.
