Mooresville Resident Earns Degree From University of Nebraska

MOORESVILLE, NC — Mooresville resident Raquel Hughes received a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during winter commencement ceremonies this past weekend, the school announced.

Winter commencement exercises were held Dec. 20 and 21, and included graduates from 49 countries and 36 states, the school said.

The undergradate commencement address held Dec. 21 at the Pinnacle Bank Arena was delivered by award-winning poet and writer, Kwame Dawes.
