The Mooresville Soup Kitchen is holding a food drive Saturday, Nov. 17 in preparation for Thanksgiving. Here's what you can do to help.

MOORESVILLE, NC — The Mooresville Soup Kitchen is holding a community canned food drive Saturday, Nov. 17 in preparation for upcoming holidays. Do you like to help others in need? If so, then this is a prime opportunity to show it off with pantry staples. The organization is also urging the community to challenge groups or businesses to a friendly competition.
Here’s what the Mooresville Soup Kitchen needs:
- Canned yams
- Canned spaghetti sauce
- Canned cream soups
- Canned pinto beans
- Canned white beans
- Canned baked beans
- Canned black beans
- Canned tomatoes (diced, whole)
- Canned tomato sauce
- Canned broth
- Caned green beans
- Canned carrots
- Canned potatoes
- Canned corn
- Canned peas
Donations may be dropped off Saturday, Nov. 17 at the side door of the soup kitchen, which is located at 275 S. Broad Street in downtown Mooresville, 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
