Mooresville Transfer Station To Close For Repairs
A major repair project at Mooresville Transfer Station will impact what type of materials are accepted. Here's what you need to know.
MOORESVILLE, NC — Mooresville Transfer Station will soon partially close for major repairs, which will impact the types of materials it will accept, according to county officials.
Construction is scheduled to begin Saturday, April 18 and continue through April 26.
"During this time, the facility will remain open for Iredell County residents to dispose of household waste and recycling only," the county said in a notice. All household materials must be bagged and tied up. No construction, demolition, brush, yard waster, appliances or commercial waste will be accepted at the facility at that time.

Customers in need of disposing anything other than household trash and recycling may do so at Twin Oaks Solid Waste Facility, located at 354 Twin Oaks Road in Statesville.
County officials advise that only residents with an Iredell County Solid Waste decal will be allowed to unload, and that long wait times are to be expected due to construction and social distancing protocols.
