Need a Coronavirus Test? Here's A List Of Iredell Testing Sites
North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released a comprehensive list of more than 200 COVID-19 testing locations.
MOORESVILLE, NC — Testing for novel coronavirus in North Carolina has grown to more than 200 sample collection sites in 54 counties, according to a comprehensive list released Thursday afternoon by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
State public health officials say widespread testing is an important factor in reopening the state. In April, North Carolina outlined a goal to increase testing from about 2,500 per day to between 5,000 to 7,000 tests per day. Thursday, NC DHHS indicated that 8,811 COVID-19 tests had been processed since Wednesday.
Last week, NC DHHS Secretary Mandy Cohen said the state was coordinating with the Federal government and corporate partners, such as Walmart and Walgreens, to expand testing sites throughout the state in underserved areas of the state.

"The tests at these sites are paid for by federal government so there is no cost for the people getting tests," she said. "Anyone who needs a test in NC can get one right now."
NC DHHS's list of testing sites includes health care providers, pharmacies and retail locations, and health departments.
