New Drug Charges Amid Death Probe Of Curtis Pond Woman
Police continue their investigation into the death of a Mooresville woman as her son faces a heroin and cocaine trafficking charges.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Nearly one month after Pamela Lee was found dead in her Curtis Pond home, police are still investigating the circumstances of her death as her son faces a laundry list of drug charges that includes trafficking heroin and cocaine.
Lee, 62, was found July 31 in her home located in the 100 block of Karlstad Lane in Mooresville, according to Mooresville Police Department. Officers responding to the home also found a major drug stash that including heroin, cocaine, a firearm, $1,300 in cash and drug paraphernalia, MPD said.
The Mooresville woman shared the home with her 47-year-old son, Alonzo Lee, who was not home when officers arrived on the scene, MPD said.

A warrant was issued for Lee, and he was two weeks later, on Aug. 16. MPD charged Lee with numerous drug charges including trafficking heroin and cocaine and possession with intent to sell both heroin and cocaine. He was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, MPD said.

He was taken to the Iredell County Jail, where his bond was set at $250,000.
Following his arrest, MPD and detectives with the Cornelius Police Department executed a search warrant to search a storage unit in Cornelius.
“Inside the storage unit, detectives found an additional two pounds of heroin, four ounces of cocaine, and drug manufacturing equipment,” MPD said in a statement. Following the discovery, Lee faces new cocaine and heroin trafficking charges, as well as intent to set and deliver both of the narcotics. An additional secured bond was set at $750,000.
“The death investigation for Pamela Lee is still on-going,” MPD said.
