Pizza Boxes On The Floor: Recent Iredell Kitchen Inspections
Recent Iredell County kitchen inspections turned up infractions, from pizza boxes stored on the floor to dirty kitchen gear.
MOORESVILLE, NC — Pizza boxes sitting on the floor and dirty kitchen gear were some of the infractions found during recent kitchen health inspections in Iredell County.

While all the area kitchens recently inspected kept their 'A' ratings, inspectors noted several infractions that affected their health scores.

At George Pappas Victory Lanes, located at 125 Morelake Drive, for example, an inspection found no certified food protection manager on site, but did find two visibly dirty thermometers, boxes stored on the floor of the walk-in freezer, broken gaskets on cooler and freezer doors and litter and debris, including two mattresses in the dumpster area.
At Mama’s Pizza Express, located at 1230 River Highway, an inspection docked the kitchen’s health rating for a several infractions including pizza boxes sitting on the floor of the dining room, corroded shelving found in a cooler, a corroded cart holding utensils and holes in its dumpster.
