Police Identify Driver In Fatal Single Car Crash In Mooresville
Police identified the driver in the fatal crash as Pamela L. Petroski, 56, of Mooresville. Here's what they say was the possible cause.
MOORESVILLE, NC — The driver of a fatal single-car crash in Mooresville Wednesday afternoon has been identified as 56-year-old Pamela L. Petroski, police said Friday.
The Jan. 16 accident occurred when the vehicle driven by Petroski, who was traveling east on Cornelius Road, went off the road near Exmore Road, according to a Mooresville Police Department spokesperson.
Petroski was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other injuries reported associated with this crash.

The crash remains under investigation, however, authorities believe a medical situation may have caused the crash.
“From the initial investigation, officers concluded it is possible the female driver suffered a medical condition causing her to leave the roadway and crash,” MPD said.
