Runaway Iredell Teen Last Seen Getting Into A Car: Sheriff

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Authorities in Iredell County are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 16 year-old girl who was reported as a runaway this week, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

She is the second teen reported as a runaway this week by the sheriff’s office.

According to an ICSO report, Brianna Nicole West, 16, left her home in the 100 block of Chantilly Lane in Statesville on foot around 6:30 p.m. on May 14. Later that same night, she was spotted getting into a friend’s car at Beavers Store.

“Brianna may possibly be in the Cool Spring/ Harmony area,” ICSO said. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black leggings. She is 5-foot tall, weighs about 120 pounds and has shoulder length red hair and blue eyes.

Investigators have interviewed witnesses, as well as her friends. ICSO said that anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office at 704-878-3100.

West’s disappearance comes days after another Iredell teen was reported missing.

Lizzy Coseth Lorenzana Chevez, 17, was reported missing as a runaway juvenile May 2 by her mother, who told deputies that her daughter had left the 100 block of Fraley Road in Statesville on the evening before around 8 p.m. with her boyfriend.

Chavez's boyfriend's name is Chistian, and he is also known as Tony. He lives in the Charlotte area, her mother told authorities.
