Salisbury Man Facing Drug Charges After Iredell Traffic Stop
Terry Isaac Brown was in a car pulled over for a traffic stop on Salisbury Highway and now faces this list of charges, the sheriff said.
IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A Rowan County man who was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for a traffic stop recently has been charged with a list of crimes, including possession of cocaine and a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
According to ICSO, Terry Isaac Brown, 36, of Salisbury was sitting in the front seat of the vehicle when it was stopped Feb. 8 in the 1700 block of Salisbury Highway in Statesville.
Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer spotted an open alcoholic beverage in the floorboard under Brown’s legs, prompting a search of the vehicle. “During the search, deputies located “Crack” Cocaine, Marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded 9 mm pistol in the front seat passenger’s possession,” ICSO said.

According to the sheriff’s office, a records check indicated that Brown was a convicted felon and also wanted on an outstanding warrant for assault on a female. He was arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
Brown was charged with felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; felony possession of cocaine; misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

“Brown was taken before Magistrate S. Nicholson who issued a [$35,000] dollars secured bond on the charges. Brown also received a No Bond on the Assault on Female warrant,” ICSO said.
