Sex Offender Busted Using Fake Facebook Name: Report
A tip led to an arrest of this registered sex offender in Mooresville after he was found using social media under a fake name.

MOORESVILLE, NC -- A registered sex offender living in Mooresville found himself behind bars again this week after a concerned citizen alerted police that he was using Facebook under a fake name, according to a local report.
Brandon Habit Koch, 28, was arrested Tuesday by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Department and charged with failing to notify authorities of his online pseudonym, the Mooresville Tribune reported.
According to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation registry, Koch lives on Chere Helen Drive in Mooresville. He was convicted of taking indecent liberty with a victim, who was 14 years of age. He was 21 years of age at the time of the offense.
