IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A registered sex offender was arrested and charged in Iredell County for failing to notify authorities of his new address in the area, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said Friday. The charge is a felony.
Bobby Lee Minton, Sr., 54, had lived at his new address on Lippard Farm Road in Statesville for about a month when authorities made the discovery Oct. 2.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office last week that Minton, who was previously registered as living in Hiddenite, N.C., was possibly living in Iredell County.
