IREDELL COUNTY, NC — An Iredell County registered sex offender was arrested this week, charged with moving out of the area without telling officials his new address as required for compliance in North Carolina’s Sex Offender and Public Protection Registration Program, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office received a tip May 17 that Jamie Clifton Jarvis, 34, who was listed on the state’s sex offender registry as living in Statesville, was living in Hiddenite in Alexander County.

The sheriff’s office “was alerted by a North Carolina Probation Officer about a Satellite Based Monitoring Device indicated Jamie Clifton Jarvis was residing at 205 Cattle Drive, Hiddenite in Alexander County,” ICSO said. He had neither submitted an address change form in Iredell County, nor registered the new Alexander County address, authorities said.
