Sheriff Seeking Persons Of Interest In 2 Mooresville Break-Ins

Two Mooresville homes were broken into recently and the Iredell Sheriff is asking for the public's help identifying two people of interest.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying two persons of interest who it says may be connected to two recent residential burglaries in Mooresville.

The first of the two break-ins reported Dec. 12 occurred in a home off Brookridge Drive, where suspects entered the home through a kitchen window after breaking a window lock with an unknown tool, according to an ICSO report.

“The suspect(s) went through each room emptying all the drawers and cabinets,” and the only thing reported stolen was a jewelry box containing numerous pieces of jewelry, the sheriff’s office said.

A witness in the area told deputies that they saw a blue, two-door Saturn driving in the neighborhood at a high rate of speed, and that a woman was behind the wheel.

About an hour later, thee second break in was reported approximately an hour later near Crystal Circle and Wood Duck Loop. As in the earlier break-in, the suspect used a tool to gain entry into the home, this time by prying the basement door open, the sheriff’s office said. In this incident, a jewelry box and gun were reported stolen.

“A witness in the area noticed a blue Saturn, similar to the one seen in the area of Brookridge Drive,” the ICSO report said. “The witness managed to take pictures of the suspects, and the vehicle.”
