Shop Mooresville During Small Business Saturday

MOORESVILLE, NC -- Big name national retailers take the spotlight on Black Friday as their deep price cuts pull in shoppers in droves. But what about those mom-and-pop businesses all over Mooresville and beyond that are the backbone of America's economy? Just when do they get their day?

That's basically the question that was asked back in 2010 when the concept of Small Business Saturday was born. Locally owned business across the country now take part in Small Business Saturday, offering their own deals to rival those offered the day before on Black Friday.

“November 25th is Small Business Saturday, and many of our shops, restaurants, and businesses will be offering discounts, special giveaways and treats to customers throughout the day. Take advantage of the deals and start checking off your holiday gift list,” said Kim Atkings, executive director of the Mooresville Downtown Commission.

Here is a list of Mooresville merchants offering Small Business Saturday deals:

• Ain't Miss Bead Haven, 138 N. Main Street -- Offering 25% off total purchase (excludes silver tag items) and a free Goodie Bag to first 10 customers that make a $75 or more purchase along with complimentary refreshments.

• Anna Craig Boutique, 240 N. Main Street-- Offering a $20 gift card with every $100 spent.

• Big Tiny's BBQ, 179 N. Main Street -- Offering $5.00 off any orders over $20.00 that day with the mention of Small Business Saturday!

• Four Corners Framing and Gallery, 148 N. Main Street -- Hosting a Small Business Saturday Open House from 10-4 with refreshments, artists working and exhibiting and 30% off Custom Frame Orders.

• Lost N Found Vintage Mall, 101 S. Broad Street -- Offering 20% off Lost N Found items only and light refreshments.

• Mooresville Arts, 103 W. Center Avenue -- Browse our Give the Gift of Art Holiday Sale and purchase unique and one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone on your list! Pottery; jewelry; paintings and more. Support local artists & buy local art!

• Old World Molding Company, 417 Oak Street -- Old World will be offering an over run and remnant sale along with special pricing for Small Business Saturday and free personalization.

• On Tap Crafty Brews, 188 N. Main Street -- Will be offering discounts on growler sales and refills and a free OnTap glass with the purchase of a gift card.

• Pie in the Sky Pizza Mooresville, 125-2 N. Main Street -- Offering 1 free small cheese pizza with the purchase of a large pizza.

• Southern Sisters Boutique, 174 N. Main Street -- Will have a discount bowl at the register for customers to draw a discount from. In addition, Southern Sisters will also be offering Lilly Pullitzer inspired swag bags on purchases of $75 or more and purchases over $200 will receive a discount card toward a December purchase.

• Tropical Connections, 230 N. Main Street -- Offering 10% discount on all purchases excluding limited edition prints, framing, and sale items.

• Video Game World, 152 N. Main Street -- Offering Buy 2 get 1 game for all games on the floor AND 20% all Christmas games in display cases.

• WFV Designs, 128 N. Broad Street -- Offering 20% off our custom furniture (showroom pieces only).
