‘Stuff-A-Truck’ Toy Drive Rescheduled For Dec. 22 In Mooresville

Organizers of LKN Cars and Coffee are sponsoring this annual event that sends truckloads of presents to needy kids each Christmas.

MOORESVILLE, NC — If you’re looking for a way to spread some holiday cheer to families in need in the community, there’s still time. LKN Cars and Coffee is sponsoring its annual “Stuff-A-Truck” event Dec. 22 to collect toys and clothes for children in need in Mooresville.

The event was originally scheduled for earlier in the month, but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.

LKN Coffee and Cars is a monthly car show event held on the third Saturday of every month at the NASCAR Technical Institute Campus, located at 220 Byers Creek Road in Mooresville.

During the Dec. 22 event, the organization will be collecting new, unwrapped toys or gently used clothing and coats suitable for children between the ages of 4 and 14 years of age.

“December is our last event of the year and, as we do every month, we look for opportunities to give back to our community,” said Chris Potter, who helps organize the monthly car show event.

This is the third year LKN Coffee and Cars has held the event, and the organization is hoping to surpass previous turnout.

“This had been a really successful event for us in years past,” Potter told Mooresville Patch, adding that last year the organization filled four full-size pickup trucks with toys and coats. “This year we are shooting for five trucks, or more,” he said. All donations will be taken to the Christian Mission in Mooresville.
