Suspect Wanted For Stealing $2,100 In Tools From Iredell Home

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Iredell County authorities are searching for a North Carolina man wanted in connection to a recent breaking and entering and larceny case in Olin, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

Michael Dwaine Davis, 45, is wanted in connection to a break in at a home located at 506 Tabor Road in Olin that occurred April 10, ICSO said in a statement.

The homeowner told deputies that several tools valued at $2,100 had been stolen from inside his carport at some point during the day.

“During the investigation Detectives were able to locate several of the reported stolen tools at a pawn shop located in High Point, North Carolina,” ICSO said. Detectives received information from the store that indicated that Michael Dwaine Davis and another unidentified man came into the pawn shop on April 10 around 2:30 p.m. and sold the tools for cash.

Iredell detectives recovered the stolen tools from the pawn shop and returned them to the victim.

ICSO has obtained arrest warrants for Davis on one count of felony breaking or entering to a building, and one count of felony larceny after breaking and/or entering.

“Davis has been entered as a Wanted Person,” ICSO said.

The sheriff’s office said that anyone with information on where Davis can be found is asked to call their office at 704-878-3100.
