Target Offering Teachers Discount For Classroom Supplies

MOORESVILLE, NC — Target is offering teachers a discount for classroom supply shopping between July 13-20, the national store chain announced.

Teachers nationwide are eligible for the 15 percent off “Teacher Prep Event” promotion on select classroom supplies, including pens, markers, classroom storage, tissues and more, as well as women’s and men’s clothing, the company said. The promotion is valid in stores and online.

Target launched the event last year, and there was a “phenomenal response,” Target senior vice president and general merchandise manager of apparel, accessories and home told USA Today. This year’s promotion applies to an expanded list of items, and will also include classroom necessities such as disinfecting wipes and food storage bags, adult clothing and items from the Pillowfort furniture and Bullseye’s Playground lines.

Here’s a list of Target locations in the Lake Norman area:

• 594 River Highway, Mooresville
• 9801 Sam Furr Road, Huntersville

Target says teachers can visit the Teacher Prep Event website where they can enter their teacher ID to get a coupon code.

The promotion also applies to teachers in day care centers, early childhood learning centers, and those who home school, Target said.

There are exclusions, however. The promotion may not be used to purchase certain items, including electronics, backpacks, lunch bags, trial or travel size items, swim items, sleepwear, or clearance items.
