MOORESVILLE, NC — A crew working on a project that includes updating public water and sewer lines along West McLelland Avenue had to temporarily turn off water Thursday afternoon, the town said.
Water services should be restored soon, the town said.
“The Town of Mooresville currently has contractors working in the West McLelland Avenue area, including improvements to both the existing public water and sanitary sewer,” the town said in a message on Facebook. “Due to complications because of the age of the pipes and infrastructure, water had to be unexpectedly turned off in areas in and around West McLelland Avenue, including West Center Avenue, for a brief period of time. Water should return in less than two hours, and we sincerely apologize for the interruption in service.”
