Two Mooresville Sisters Killed By Wrong-Way Driver To Be Buried Saturday
Kelsey Richardson was visiting her sister Karli in Arizona when they were killed on their way to the Grand Canyon.

MOORESVILLE, NC -- Kelsey and Karli Richardson, two sisters from Mooresville who were killed early April 14 by a wrong-way driver, will be buried Saturday. The two were driving on I-17 when they were hit head on by a 22-year-old driver driving in the wrong direction. All three were killed.
Karli Richardson, 20, was a student at Grand Canyon University in Arizona. Her sister, Kelsey, 18, was visiting, and the pair were on their way to the Grand Canyon. βThey wanted to do things first, together, as sisters,β their mother, Cathy Hocking said, The Mooresville Tribune reported. βThey wanted to drive to the Grand Canyon and be there when the sun came up.β
A visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 21 at Cove Church in Mooresville, with burial the next day, according to the newspaper.

Friends of the sisters have created a GoFundMe campaign to help the family with funeral expenses, raising more than $30,000 by Thursday afternoon.
