Here are the top three stories today in Mooresville:

  1. Mooresville Utility Bill Pay will soon see some major upgrades. As of Thursday, Aug. 25, the city will be switching over to the Paymentus platform to facilitate online payments. Users can pay their utility bills online or by phone via debit, credit, ACH/eCheck, or by linking with digital wallet options like Venmo and PayPal. More information on paperless statements is expected to go out in the coming weeks. (City of Mooresville)
  2. Lowe's Home Improvement, based in Mooresville, is handing out $55 million in bonuses to its hourly retail workers. The move is intended to help many employees mitigate rising costs due to inflation. "These associates have the most important job in our company," said CEO Martin R. Ellison.   3. The NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville marks its milestone 20th anniversary! The institute prepares students to enter careers in skilled trades, including racing, welding, and computerized machining.
