A widespread Verizon outage was reported across North Carolina Friday morning.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A widespread Verizon outage was reported across North Carolina Friday morning.

According to DownDetector, the most reported locations included Charlotte, Raleigh, Lexington, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Salisbury, Burlington, Concord and Durham.

The outages were first reported along the coast of the state around 10:30 a.m., the Charlotte Observer reported. Since then, they have spread through the central part of the state, as well as to Wilmington and the Outer Banks, the newspaper said.
