Water Company Solicitation Prompts Clarification From Town
Have you received a "water update" note from Carolina Water Products? Here's what the Town of Mooresville says about the company.
MOORESVILLE, NC — A private company reaching out to Mooresville residents with a message about a “water update” is not affiliated with the town or its municipal water service, the Town of Mooresville said Tuesday.
“Town of Mooresville residents and water customers may have recently received a note from Carolina Water Products out of Charlotte, stating that they have been trying to reach the resident for a ‘water update,’” the Town of Mooresville said on social media. “This note is from a private company, and the Town of Mooresville is not affiliated with Carolina Water Products in any way.”
Carolina Water Products conducts household water testing as well as sells water softening and filtration systems, according to its website.

“The Town of Mooresville regularly performs its own tests of the drinking water in accordance with state and federal laws,” the town said, adding that residents with questions about their municipal water source may call 704-664-4268.
