Wiener Takes All: Dachsund Racing Set For Saturday In Downtown Mooresville

Dachshunds will be racing their hearts out for charity Saturday. Here's what you need to know to watch.

MOORESVILLE, NC -- Wiener racing is returning to downtown Mooresville this weekend with Dachshunds set to compete in four events for charity Saturday.

Area wiener dogs will race their hearts out (or not) at this annual event, which is raising money for Lake Norman Humane. Puppies ages four months to a year old will race 25 feet, juniors and adults will separately race a distance of 35 feet and senior pooches 10 years of age and older will race 25 feet.

Also planned is a β€œBest Dressed” and β€œCutest” contest. The fun begins Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the event site located at the corner of East Central Street and North Church Street in downtown Mooresville.
