When You Can Expect Rain, Warmer Temperatures In Mooresville
While patches of black ice remained a threat Wednesday morning, conditions will improve by the weekend, forecaster say.
MOORESVILLE, NC — Driving conditions on secondary roads throughout the Charlotte metro and Lake Norman region remained treacherous Wednesday morning, however temperatures are expected to warm up by the weekend, according to National Weather Service forecasters.
“Be prepared for slippery spots on roadways. Some roads that appear clear may be covered by a thin layer of ice, especially on bridges and overpasses,” NWS said Wednesday morning. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing by 10 a.m., with a high of near 49 degrees.
The warming trend will continue Thursday, when the high is expected to reach the low 50s. Rain showers are expected to move into the region overnight Thursday evening, continuing into Friday. By Saturday, the high will nearly reach 60 degrees, NWS said.
