• Congressman Tim Moore Introduces Bipartisan HUD Disaster Information Improvement Act (house.gov) — Morganton residents now have clearly listed hours for Congressman Tim Moore’s district office at the Burke County Government Center, while he pushes a new bipartisan bill to streamline federal disaster aid data-sharing among HUD, FEMA, and the SBA. The proposal aims to speed up assistance, cut red tape, and reduce waste and fraud after hurricanes, floods, and other disasters.
