Flash Flooding Leads To Water Rescue of 5 People From Business
A rescue crew pulled several people from a north Charlotte business as a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the region until midnight.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Heavy rains and flash flooding in the Queen City region overnight led to a boat water rescue of five people from a NoDa business in the 100 block of Atando Avenue Tuesday, Charlotte Fire said.
The recycling business became flooded when water rose in a nearby creek, reaching a depth of up to 6 feet, according to WSOC.
Rescue crews used a small inflatable raft to ferry the workers out of the flooded area.
