Event Details
Learn Firearms Marksmanship as a way to honor Americans who used skill with firearms to force a British expeditionary sortie to Concord MA on April 19th, 1775 to retreat to Boston, and begin the Revolutionary War! Hear the Story of April 19th, 1775, a complex story which involves The Three Strikes of the Match - a Day when you will be surprised to find that it was hard to get the War started! Skill with firearms by the founding generation of our country was the hallmark of the day! In fact, you'll find that later on, the ENTIRE FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY revolved around - A SINGLE RIFLE SHOT! Be an informed American, and be able to answer questions about your American heritage, such as "what caused the professional British Army to break and run after a 2-minute encounter with a bunch of colonial shopkeepers and farmers at the North Bridge?" and learn the answer to the provocative question which has confounded historians for over two hundred years: "Who fired the First Shot of the American Revolution?" This event is a great opportunity to learn a skill important to generations of Americans, not forgetting how important the skill of safety around firearms is.
