• Charges pending after 1 airlifted in crash involving school bus in Reidsville (myfox8.com) — Three people were hospitalized after a Rockingham County Schools bus and a van collided on US 158/Yanceyville Road in Reidsville, causing the bus to overturn in a ditch. A student and the bus driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the van driver was airlifted with serious injuries. State troopers say charges are pending as the investigation continues.
   

• Charges Filed in Connection to Death of 8-year-old in Reidsville (wbtmdanville.com) — An 8-year-old boy died after being shot at a home off U.S. Highway 29 North in Reidsville, and his 19-year-old brother is now charged for allegedly failing to secure the firearm. • Mystery grows as more human remains found at rock quarry, North Carolina police say (charlotteobserver.com) — Investigators have twice found human remains since April at Ruffin Quarry, just outside Reidsville’s city limits, and believe both discoveries are from the same unidentified person. Reidsville police, working with state and federal agencies, say it could take about six months to confirm an identity, after sending the remains to the state medical examiner.
