• AC Flora lands successful area coach to lead state-championship baseball program (thestate.com) — A former Weddington High School baseball coach, Travis Poole, is taking over the powerhouse AC Flora program in South Carolina after a Hall of Fame run that included two state titles and 463 wins at Weddington. Local fans may remember his success leading Weddington’s teams in 2011–12 before he moved on to Blythewood, where he continued his winning ways and recently reached 500 career victories.
