In commemoration of the United States’ 250th anniversary, join Dr. Chris E. Fonvielle Jr., Professor Emeritus, Dept. of History at UNCW, who will focus on the first of three cruises covering the decline of the great British Empire after the French and Indian War in 1763 and the rise of a great nation by 1887. We will look at the deteriorating relationship between the British colonies and the mother country and the coming of the American Revolutionary War in the Lower Cape Fear. Dr. Fonville will share interesting anecdotes and facts that you may not have known. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. The three cruises will be March 22, April 26, and May 24. $45. Boarding 15 minutes prior. This is a 90 minute cruise.
