• 2026 growing season has begun (kfyrtv.com) — The National Weather Service office in Bismarck has officially started the 2026 growing season, meaning frost and freeze alerts now guide local planting and gardening decisions. Central and western North Dakota face emerging drought, rising fire danger, and warmer-than-average temperatures through summer, while precipitation is expected to be near normal overall.
