• Casselton Youth Cross Country enjoying a great season (nordakpublishing.com) — Casselton kids in grades 4–6 are packing the Parks and Recreation youth cross country program, meeting twice a week at the Casselton Reservoir and racing at the Casselton Golf Course. With strong support from Central Cass runners, volunteers, and parents, the growing team is learning endurance, teamwork, and confidence as they head into the final weeks of a very successful season. 
• Casselton's downtown improvement project creates flower box backlash (nordakpublishing.com) — Casselton's new concrete flower boxes at Langer Avenue and Front Street are drawing sharp criticism from some residents who say the intersection now feels too tight. Public Works Superintendent Will Lipp notes the planters came from earlier public input, and the city is weighing options—from leaving them as-is to shortening beds or adding rollover curbs—before a mid-October decision.
