Here's What John Kasich Said In His DNC Speech
Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich stood at a literal crossroads during his speech on Monday.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich stood at literal crossroads during his speech to the Democratic National Convention.
"Sometimes elections represent a real choice, a choice we make as individuals and as a nation about which path we want to take when we come to challenging times," Kasich said.
He emphasized his deep concern for the current conditions in America. Kasich said the past four years has led to growing vitriol between citizens and said "we are being taken down the wrong road."

"I'm a lifelong Republican but that attachment holds second place to my responsibility to my country. That's why I've chosen to appear at this convention," Kasich said.
President Donald Trump used the speech as an opportunity and tore into his 2016 Republican primary opponent, calling Kasich a "loser."

"He was a loser as a Republican and he’ll be a loser as a Democrat. Major loser as a Republican. I guess you can quote me on that. John was a loser as a Republican. Never even came close. And as a Democrat he’ll be an even greater loser," Trump said.
