Was Your Ballot Counted In Ohio? Here's How To Check

OHIO — If you were one of the millions of Ohioans who voted early this year, or requested an absentee ballot, you can track the status of your ballot online.

Go here to find the Secretary of State ballot-tracking tool. Find your county, click on it, and then type in your voter information to check your ballot status.

Absentee ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 2 (Monday) and received by a county board of election by Nov. 13 to be counted in the general election.

Early voting for the upcoming general election began Oct. 6 in Ohio and ended Monday. More than 3.4 million early votes were cast in Ohio, shattering all previous records for early voting. In 2016, 1.8 million absentee ballots were cast in Ohio.

Cuyahoga County Board of Elections data shows 341,917 vote-by-mail ballots were requested this year and 90 percent (306,932) have already been returned. That's a record-breaking number of mail-in ballots for Ohio's second-most populous county.

Election officials can begin scanning absentee ballots as they are received, but those votes are not tabulated until the polls close at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3.
