1. Latest scam targets victims that 'had missed a jury summons' (cleveland19.com) — Akron residents are being warned about a new jury-duty scam where callers pose as the Summit County Clerk of Courts and demand Cash App payments for supposedly missing a jury summons. Officials stress they will never call about jury duty or request money, and urge anyone receiving such calls to hang up and report them to the Summit County Sheriff's Office. 
2. Habitat for Humanity builds new beginning for Akron family (cleveland19.com) — A Summit County Habitat for Humanity build is giving an Akron mother and her two sons a new home on Superior Avenue on the city's west side. With support from BBB Akron and a donated lot, construction is already underway, aiming to have the family moved in by the holidays and bringing fresh investment to a long-quiet neighborhood corner.
3. More than 600 people arrested, nearly 200 guns seized during Operation Northern Shield (news5cleveland.com) — A major eight-week law enforcement sweep across northern Ohio led to 684 arrests and nearly 200 guns seized, with a surge week focused in Akron. Officers captured suspects wanted for violent crimes, including an arrest on Whitney Avenue, and confiscated drugs, cash, and large caches of firearms they say were destined for criminal use.
4. PHOTOS: Plane appears to have rough landing at Akron airport (fox8.com) — A small NetJets Cessna Citation experienced an aircraft incident Tuesday while landing at Akron-Canton Airport, ending up with its nose on the runway but no reported injuries. Emergency crews from the airport and Green responded, one runway was closed, and investigators with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are now reviewing what happened as the airport works to keep flights moving.

I just want to say thank you.
