1. Canton, Alliance data center sites sell for millions (the-review.com) — Alliance’s former Alliance Casting Co. site on East Broadway just sold for $4.75 million, with plans for a new data center as part of a mixed-use project. The sale is part of a wave of high-dollar real estate deals across Stark County, including a massive $72.9 million data center site in Canton. These moves could reshape jobs, infrastructure, and investment around Alliance. 
2. Court hearing for Stark County mother charged after 14-year-old son allegedly fatally shoots girl (cleveland19.com) — A Stark County mother is set to be arraigned after her 14-year-old son allegedly used her gun in a June shooting that killed 15-year-old Kennedy Wise at a home in Alliance. Prosecutors say the boy initially claimed the death was a suicide, and his mother later returned the gun to the scene without telling police. The teen now faces involuntary manslaughter charges in juvenile court.
3. Residents escape house fire in Alliance, lose pet (kentucky.com) — A morning house fire on Grace Street in Alliance forced residents to escape and left one dog dead, while another was rushed for veterinary care. Alliance, Sebring, Washington Township firefighters and local police responded, and the state Fire Marshal is investigating the cause. No human injuries were reported, but the loss and damage hit this neighborhood hard.
4. Stark's fallen Vietnam veterans honored on traveling wall (centredaily.com) — Alliance is among the Stark County communities with Vietnam veterans’ names etched on The Wall That Heals, a traveling replica of the Washington, D.C. memorial. The exhibit, which recently stopped in Ohio, honors more than 58,000 fallen service members, including 10 from Alliance, and offers education, artifacts, and volunteer support to help families and veterans find healing and remembrance.
