• Highland baseball reaches Division II regional after district wins over Perry, Washington (yourohionews.com) — Alliance High School’s baseball team, seeded 12th, knocked ninth-seeded Buckeye out of the Division III district tournament with a 3-1 win, scoring all three runs in a single fourth-inning rally. The broader roundup also highlights other Northeast Ohio teams’ postseason runs, but Alliance’s clutch, all-unearned runs were enough to end Buckeye’s season on its home field.
