Tennis: Amherst, Avon have big days at LCAAA tourney (chroniclet.com) — Amherst High School’s girls tennis team made a strong showing at the Lorain County Athletic Administrators Association doubles tournament, highlighted by Katelyn Bussard and Sienna Nagy winning the top doubles title. Their straight-set victory over Avon’s top pair, in a format using shortened sets and tiebreaks, helped prevent an Avon sweep and showcased Amherst’s depth against other Lorain County programs.
