• Ohio Soybean Council Announces Board of Trustees Election (morningagclips.com) — Ashland County soybean farmers are eligible to run for the Ohio Soybean Council’s District 3 board seat, with petitions due by mail in early July. Candidates must live in a listed District 3 county, actively grow soybeans, and gather 15 signatures from other eligible producers. The elected trustee will help direct how soybean checkoff dollars are invested statewide. 
• DeWine announces $27 million in housing grants, but not in these areas (times-gazette.com) — Ashland County is one of 25 Ohio counties that have not yet received money from Governor DeWine’s $27 million Welcome Home Ohio housing grant round, despite tens of millions already awarded statewide. Local organizations here can still apply for future funding phases with help from county agencies, which could eventually support more affordable housing options for Ashland residents.
