Portage EMA, county staff learn at tornado, hazmat event (record-courier.com) — Aurora residents should know their fire department's leadership just helped run a major countywide disaster drill simulating a deadly tornado and hazmat spill in Portage County. Aurora Assistant Fire Chief Shaun Lutz joined emergency managers, hospitals, utilities, and aid groups to practice coordinated responses, test communication and shelter plans, and identify improvements before a real crisis hits.
