• Election 2026: Avon Lake income tax issue back on November ballot (morningjournal.com) — Avon Lake voters will see a proposed 0.4% municipal income tax increase on the November 2026 ballot, aimed largely at fixing and maintaining the city’s 112 miles of roads. City leaders say the six-year increase would fund street and infrastructure work, replace an existing property tax, and are inviting residents to a Sept. 30 town hall at Avon Lake Public Library to learn more. 
• Drunk driver arrested at Speedway: Avon Lake police blotter (cleveland.com) — Recent Avon Lake police reports include a suspected drunk driver arrested at the Speedway on Walker Road and a reported diamond ring theft on Whitaker Cove. Officers also handled drug and marijuana possession cases after traffic stops, plus disturbance and menacing complaints on neighborhood streets, offering residents a snapshot of current safety issues around town.
