Allegedly Drunk Driver Causes Accident, Goes To ER In Avon Lake
Police said the 23-year-old man caused a two-car accident that left both vehicles heavily damaged.

AVON LAKE, OH — An allegedly drunk driver caused a two-car accident last week before being rushed to a local emergency room, police said. The accident happened near Lear Road last Saturday, May 26. Both vehicles in the crash were heavily damaged, police reported.

Forgery, May 16 — Police were called to the Huntington Bank inside Giant Eagle for reports of a 56-year-old man trying to pass a bad check. After an investigation, the man was arrested and taken to Lorain County Jail. He was charged with forgery and passing bad checks.

Traffic Complaint, May 22 — Officers pulled over a 2008 Honda Accord at about 10 a.m. The driver, a 20-year-old Sheffield Village woman, had a suspended license and was arrested.
Theft, May 24 — A 91-year-old woman reported that several pieces of 45-year-old jewelry are missing from her apartment on Community Drive. Among the missing pieces are a gold chain necklace with a clover and a leaf pendant with diamonds.

Warrant Service, May 25 — Police pulled a car over on Ventanas Circle, near Lear Road, at 8 a.m. The passenger in the car, a 29-year-old Avon Lake man, was taken into custody on an outsanding warrant Contempt of Court through the Lorain County Adult Probation Department.
OVI, May 26 — Dispatch sent police to the an area near the intersection of Lake Road and Westwind Drive for a report of a car accident. Officers arrived and found two heavily damaged cars. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the at-fault driver, a 23-year-old Cleveland man, was taken to the emergency room. He has been charged with operating a vehicle impaired.
