Badly Damaged Car Stopped In Avon Lake: Police Blotter
Police stopped a car with a badly cracked windshield and front end damage and discovered the driver had cut out the airbags.
AVON LAKE, OH — Police stopped a car with "heavy" front end damage, including a badly cracked windshield.
According to police reports, the car was stopped Nov. 6 on Lake Road. When police inspected the vehicle, they found the driver's side and passenger side air bags had been cut out.
Officers had the vehicle towed off the road and the driver was cited for having an expired license.

Found property, Nov. 5 — A bicycle was found abandoned in bushes on Moore Road. The bike is a Schwinn 21 speed, blue and white in color.
Criminal damage, Nov. 7 — A Chatham Drive resident said a woman was kicking their screen door and screaming. Police located the woman and took her to a hospital for a psychological evaluation.
Traffic complaint, Nov. 9 — A truck and trailer were stopped on Lake Road because the trailer did not have a visible license plate. The driver had a suspended license, so he was cited and the trailer was towed away.
